The Smugglers Pub and Cafe is a notoriously good place to socialise. Our pub is rapidly becoming recognised for its hearty meals, foaming craft ales and great wines with its unusual, olde worlde setting. We're not one to blow our own muskets, but we have won some prestigious awards from the Hospitality Association of New Zealand that we're very proud of.

Located within walking distance from Nelson's Tahunanui Beach and set amongst the areas' busy motel district, the Smugglers Pub and Cafe is a place where visitors to the town can eat and drink alongside the locals. The dining area is separate from the main bar area, and you are equally welcome if you are staying for a meal or just popping in for a drink. You can choose from our gourmet-style restaurant menu or try a wine or beer from our extensive range. We stock regional wines, the Mac's craft beer range, traditional Guinness and Stella Artois.

Relax and enjoy the atmosphere created by our unique decor: we have a banquet table seating up to 24 people, a feature fireplace and wooden stocks that are a source of entertainment and amusement on the occasion that someone is dealt a punishment!
